Tornehamn's Cemetery: In 1899 a small area was fenced off with room for around 10 graves. The cemetery was extended as early as in 1900 since it was too small, and during the next year 1902, 27 peope were buried there on account of the serious typhus and diphtheria epidemics which inflicted the navvy community that year. The cemetery was made even larger and restored during 1936-1937.
