Sat Mar 30 19:06:27 2013 GMT: ISO C++ issue lists imported into roundup trackers

For those who are not too happy with the ISO C++ issues lists being distributed in big HTML files, I have started parsing those files and importing the issues into roundup tracker instances. Extracting all the information correctly can sometimes be tricky, but it looks quite reasonable so far.

Have a look at Core Working Group Issues, Evolution Working Group Issues and Library Working Group Issues.

Sun Feb 24 21:44:58 2013 GMT: NetBSD 6.1rc1 on the Raspberry Pi

As mentioned earlier, NetBSD support for the Raspberry Pi has made huge progress over the past few weeks. With the release of 6.1rc1 these changes are available in an (almost) official release now. The only minor problem is that the kernel is not being distributed in the format required by the Raspberry Pi bootloader, but as it turns out that can easily be fixed by downloading netbsd-RPI.gz, gunzipping it and converting it into the kernel.img required using "objcopy -S -O binary netbsd kernel.img". After copying the resulting kernel.img onto the FAT boot partition you get rewarded with a proper 6.1rc1:

fruity$ uname -a
NetBSD fruity 6.1_RC1 NetBSD 6.1_RC1 (RPI) evbarm

Sun Feb 10 17:52:33 2013 GMT: 2 More Coursera Courses

In the past few weeks I have taken 2 more Coursera courses: Heterogeneous Parallel Programming (by Wen-mei W. Hwu of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) and Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 2 (by Tim Roughgarden of Stanford University). Excellent stuff!
