PowerDNS seems to become a real alternative to ubiquitous Bind. Now that its recursive query support should be quite stable, I am giving it a try on my home computer.

I am currently experimenting with sys_epoll on Linux. In particular, I am trying to abstract sys_epoll and NT's completion ports to build an easy to use and scalable C++ interface for both worlds.

I signed up for a free HP test drive account today. They have some quite amazing systems there - I like their dual Itanium II system (running Debian GNU/Linux of course) with 12 GB of RAM and a load average around 0.0.

Yesterday I lost contact to my bleeding-edge test server (edge.cmeerw.net). As I haven't been able to access the server for more than 24 hours, I am afraid it's Internet connection might have been permanently shut down. Well, that's what you get if you don't (have to) pay for it. JabRSS and my Subversion server will be down until I can find alternative hosting for them... :-(
