I have now put together a Python script to generate an epub book from a list of RSS feeds. It just downloads the linked stories (that are not older than a specified age) and bundles them together as an epub book. This works really well with my Kobo Touch.

Got a Kobo Touch for Christmas - it's actually a really nice device and even the built-in web browser is quite usable - at least with a little help from my bookmark manager and web-based RSS reader. Sticking to basic HTML for these services really helps a lot and I have now implemented URL rewriting in WebRSS so I get directed to the most useful (i.e. mobile or text-only) version of each linked page automatically when clicking the link.
Oh yes, and it can also display epub and PDFs.
