About three weeks ago, ns0.xname.org (see www.xname.org) has been shut down due to a large DDoS attack. According to my network service monitoring script (downtime) it's up again since about 18:20 CET today. Let's hope that the web interface will also be up again soon.

Well, edge.cmeerw.net (and therefore also JabRSS) was down for about 3 hours today because of some (unknown) problems with the server/hoster.

SIP -> PSTN gateways seem to become more common these days, but the cool thing about sipgate.de is that you can get a fixed line telephone number (in Duesseldorf, Germany) forwarded to your SIP account there for free. Technically, you don't "own" the number because sipgate.de is just running a big PBX there.

I have finally updated my Exim4 packages for Debian woody to version 4.30. Please note that the exim daemon now runs as "Debian-exim", so you might have to update you configuration. Packages are available here.
