Well, I now also got OpenVPN working on my WRT54G. This one was a bit more difficult than CIPE because uclibc's linux/if_tun.h is outdated and I had to hardcode TUNSETIFF in tun.c (to 0x800454ca). The problem of course is that these machines don't provide much debugging aid -- you don't even have strace...

Getting CIPE to work on my WRT54G was pretty straightforward except that CIPE's build system doesn't work out of the box if you are cross-compiling and that the WRT54G doesn't like the mlock syscall. And btw, I only got 1.5.4 to work correctly, 1.6-pre resulted in a reboot (but then again, 1.6-pre doesn't work on my x86 PC either).

I just couldn't resist buying a new Linux machine: 82.94 BogoMIPS and 16 MB RAM probably don't look too impressive these days, but a total of 5 10/100 MBit Ethernet ports and 802.11b/g support ensure excellent network connectivity. Well, you probably guessed it by now, it's one of these neat little Linksys WRT54G wireless routers.
Of course, one of the first things I did (after checking that the basic functions are working) was updating the firmware to the latest version from sveasoft which now enables me to telnet into the box.

As GANDI hasn't responded to my enquiries, I have decided to move my domains to domaindiscount24.com. cmeerw.org has already been successfully transferred, but it seems that cmeerw.net will take a few days before the transfer is completed.
