I finally have access to an AMD64 based machine (thanks to SBS Software Ges.m.b.H.). Unfortunately, I still have no 64-bit operating system installed on that system: the Windows XP 64-bit Beta didn't work out of the box because of a lack of drivers on the installation CD (but 64-bit drivers seem to be available from the chipset manufacturer, so I will re-try soon), and Debian will probably require some hard work before I can get it running on that box.

As valgrind 1.9.5 doesn't work with the Linux 2.6 kernel, I have updated my valgrind package for Debian woody to version 2.1.0, see my Debian packages page.

It's rather sad to see that even some developers of GPL'd projects don't have a clue about the GPL. See this posting to the phpldapadmin mailing list for some weird thoughts about dual licensing from the lead developer. He talks about licensing the program to private users under the GPL, but wants to charge companies for using the program which isn't possible with the GPL and would clearly violate paragraph 5 (No Discrimination Against Persons or Groups) of The Open Source Definition. In this posting he also seems to consider relicensing the code without getting permission from every contributor.
