James Yonan has released a beta version of the upcoming OpenVPN 2.0 which will include support for multiple clients connecting to the same UDP port on the VPN-server with absolutely no client-specific configuration (on both the server and the client) except for correct TLS certificates. Of course, I have already tried it on my WRT54G.

More precisely, if you can't create it, duplicate it. On Windows, you can't open the serial port device (COM port) by multiple applications at the same time - even if you try to allow sharing. But what you can actually do is to get the file handle from the application that has initially opened the device and duplicate it. In my opinion this is absolutely horrific.

Millions of bloggers have already written about Google's new look, but it's not just the look. Google has finally removed descriptions from the Open Directory Project from their search result pages. You know, they were violating the Open Directory License by including ODP-derived content without providing the required attribution.

I learned today that there are still some issues with the Linux kernel's IA32 emulation on AMD64. At least some ioctls (e.g. LVM2's device-mapper) don't work from 32-bit userland on a 64-bit kernel (mostly due to simple alignment issues).
