Today edge.cmeerw.net has been successfully moved to a new server in a new data centre.

VD-Server has informed me that my virtual server edge.cmeerw.net will be moved to a new location (and a new server) in the next few days. The main reason are network outages in the last few month in the data center where the server is currently hosted.
I hope the downtime of the services hosted can be kept to a minimum (maybe one hour in total).

It seems that there is a lot of work currently being done for the Linux and Debian AMD64 port. The "unofficial" Debian AMD64 repository has been moved to Alioth and will probably be included in the official Debian infrastructure soon.
A few weeks ago I mentioned that LVM doesn't work from 32-bit userspace. This has been fixed in the 2.6.6 kernel. It's now also possible to build a biarch kernel using a pure64 system/chroot (previously, you had to use an outdated Debian biarch chroot).
