But I don't understand why he is using a reinterpret_cast to counterfeit the this pointer and not just break the one definition rule and use different header files for interface and implementation. Basically, this would have the same characteristics as the reinterpret_cast version, but would be even faster as there is no need for another level of indirection when invoking a method. Fri May 26 18:09:17 2006 GMT: Moving This weekend I will be moving to my new home at 15 Applewood Court, SN5 7AH, Swindon/Wiltshire. Some time ago I reported that Google Maps has updated their coverage of Swindon (see SN5 7AH), but Microsoft's Virtual Earth now has even more detailed data (see SN5 7AH). Fri May 26 18:00:59 2006 GMT: Drupal 4.7.1 Just a few hours after the upgrade to Drupal 4.7.0, a new version with important security fixes (4.7.1) has been released. So I have now upgraded to Drupal 4.7.1. BTW, it's interesting that SQL injection bugs still creep up from time to time... Wed May 24 18:13:04 2006 GMT: DevCorner Updated to Drupal 4.7.0 I have just updated my DevCorner to Drupal 4.7.0, see this post for details. Sat May 13 10:10:51 2006 GMT: IPJ Subscription I just updated my Internet Protocol Journal subscription, but I am wondering why you can't login directly, but have to wait for an e-mail and follow a link from that e-mail. Usually, such schemes are used to validate the e-mail address, but in the case of the IPJ, the link in the e-mail message does only include the subscription details you enter on the login page (i.e. your subscription id and your e-mail address, but no additional cookie to check that you really have received the e-mail). So there really is no point in sending the e-mail because if you know the e-mail address and subscription id you can perfectly construct that URL yourself...
