Even though St. Patrick's Day was on Saturday, there was a big St. Patrick's Day Festival in London today which took place in Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and Covent Garden.

Last week, Flyspray 0.9.9 has been released. While I currently don't actively use that project, it looks quite promising as an alternative for Bugzilla. The main advantage (at least in my opinion) is that it's written in PHP instead of Perl and it is therefore likely be easier to install.
And I probably haven't mentioned yet that I have updated DevCorner to Drupal 5.1. This was finally possible after I found a patch for the wiki module to make it work with Drupal 5.1.
Sat Feb 10 17:25:16 2007 GMT: Solaris 10 & Sun Studio 11
Today I have installed Solaris 10 and Sun Studio 11 inside VMware server (fortunately, all of these can be downloaded for free). I had also tried Virtual PC 2007 Release Candidate, but was a bit disappointed by it (as it was slower than VMware and messed up the graphics of the X server from Solaris). And it doesn't look like there was much development done for the product since Microsoft has bought Connectix.

This week's New Scientist has an article about the decline of Bell Labs saying "the knock-out blow came at the end of last year, when the merger of Bell Labs' parent company Lucent Technologies with French company Alcatel subsumed Bell's shrunken remains into the 'Alcatel-Lucent research community'".
